Dr. David Gitlin is a Board Certified podiatric foot and ankle surgeon with extensive training in limb reconstructive surgery as well as all aspects of both adult and pediatric foot and ankle conditions. We specialize in complicated cases including deformity correction, limb salvage, extensive wound treatment, bone infection treatment as well as any other nerve, bone and tendon conditions. We do also perform bunion surgery and all types of cosmetic foot surgery. A portion of our practice is devoted to revision surgery where we revise poor outcomes of previous surgical procedures including osteomyelitis, arthritis, nerve injury, paralysis, tendon damage and implant failure.
Our practice is considered by many to be a Regional Center of Excellence in Limb Salvage in particular with cases of charcot joint disease as well as difficult foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. We are also one of the few practitioners of the classic ilizarov technique in North America for minimal incision bloodless correction of congenital and acquired foot and ankle deformity. Most importantly- we treat our patients as if we were treating our own family. We currently provide patient care to the best of our abilities in Florida and New York.
